Hand Spliced Slings

Length Tolerance
Hand spliced slings are manufactured to a length tolerance of plus or minus 2 rope diameters or plus or minus 0.5% of sling length, whichever is greater. Slings, which will be used as matched sets will be within 1/2 rope diameter of each other.

Rate loads are based on a diameter of 25 times the individual rope diameter at points of sling contact with load.
WARNING: Hand-spliced slings should not be used in lifts where the sling may rotate and cause the wire rope to unlay.
